‘Spotted Yellow’ to vie at Palm Springs filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘Spotted Yellow’ has made its way to the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Spotted Yellow’ has made its way to the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

The 2021 edition of the short film competition section of the event will host the award-winning short directed by Baran Sarmad.

The 12-minute film is about Roya, a girl who has a yellow spot on her face.

One day she feels the signs of a real giraffe within and her life starts to change gradually.

“She sees her spots. She hears her voice and she feels her,” a tagline for ‘Spotted Yellow’ reads.

According to Sarmad, the flick is about a girl who has a dream and does whatever it takes to achieve the longing.

Shadi Karamroudi is the only actress in the flick.

The Palm Springs International Fest aims to stay the medium that keeps film markets, filmmakers and viewers connected.

The 27th edition of the event is slated for June 22-28, 2021.
